Privacy and cookie choices

Assign's public pages and blog use necessary storage to remember your cookie choice. Google Analytics cookie storage is disabled until you accept analytics cookies.

Analytics and the cookie-consent interface are not loaded in the authenticated product, Workspace creation, settings, administration, or lab areas. These private areas are excluded by path prefix; other current and future public pages are included by default.

The consent banner offers two choices:

  • Accept analytics allows Google Analytics to measure visits and page interactions so we can understand which pages and articles are useful.
  • Reject analytics keeps analytics storage disabled. Google may still receive cookieless Consent Mode pings for basic measurement and modeling. Advertising storage, advertising user data, and ad personalization remain disabled in either case.

You can change your choice later with Cookie preferences in the website or blog footer. Withdrawing analytics consent removes matching first-party Google Analytics cookies such as _ga and _ga_* where the browser permits it.

The necessary assign_cookie_consent cookie records your selected categories, the consent-policy revision, consent timestamps, and an identifier generated by the consent tool. It lasts for up to 182 days and is shared across Assign's assign.so subdomains so the website and blog can respect the same choice.

On eligible public production pages, Google Tag Manager uses advanced Google Consent Mode with analytics and advertising storage denied before the container loads. While storage is denied, Google says consent-aware tags may send measurements without cookies, including browser-supplied fields such as timestamp, user agent, referrer, consent state, and a random number generated for the page load. Ads-data redaction is enabled, and the application does not add private Workspace content, customer-entered content, or explicit identity fields to these events.

Local development and browser tests do not load the production containers. If analytics or the consent tool fails to load, the site and blog remain usable and optional storage stays denied.

Awaiting deployment

Cookie preferences remain available from the footer. The compact banner keeps Accept analytics, Reject analytics and preferences controls usable on smaller screens. On the narrowest screens, the analytics actions stack to keep their labels readable.
